Leanne is a vivacious Sydney actor who began acting and dancing from a very young age, training at local institutions including Johnny Young Talent School and ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People). She also trained and performed with Glen Street Dance Academy.
After spending more than 2 years living overseas (in London and Milan), Leanne returned to Sydney in 2002 and became strongly involved in local theatre and the film industry. In 2003, she intensified her training under Denise Roberts at Screenwise and with Lynette Sheldon (Actors Studio).
In 2006, she brought one of her passions to fruition, professionally teaching Latin & Ballroom dancing with Firefly. Always wanting to extend herself, Leanne trained in Salsa, a style completely new to her until 2011. 2018's passion has been falling in love with learning sensual Zouk.
Leanne’s feature film credits include; the comical Sister Crystal, in “The Edge of the World” and a burns victim in “Evolver”. She has worked TVC’s including; Cadbury's, Smith Crisps, Poise, New Idea, Woolworths, Real Insurance, Hoyts, Energizer, Kelloggs & Four Seasons as well as TV pilots including a lead role opposite Peta Toppano in “Twist of Fate”. Leanne is also experienced in corporate presenting and has worked on many short films.
She has had lead stage credits in the following shows; Departures & Arrivals, Vagina Monologues, FAME (a sellout season), Did you get the Milk, The Way of the World & Half a Sixpence & The Wiz. Leanne also made it to the Gala final of Short & Sweet in 2009 in the drama Mandragora.
Outside of the entertainment industry, Leanne adores the magic of children and looking after her 2 boys and is a 'crazy parrot lady'. She loves dancing, listening to music, relaxing with yoga and meditation, travelling, speaking Italian and making beautiful handmade cards.
